About the Past Pupils and Friends of Don Bosco

Saint Don Bosco founder of the Past Pupils and Friends of Don Bosco Malta

The Past Pupils and Friends of Don Bosco are persons who because they attended an oratory, a school or another Salesian Presence, received a preparation for life, based on the principles of Don Bosco’s Preventive System: reason, religion and loving-kindness. Enriched by the Christian formation and the charisma of Don Bosco, past pupils and friends are witnesses in their daily life through our apostolic engagement.

Based on the education and formation in the Salesian way of life, the aim of every past pupil and friend of Don Bosco is to live the life of ‘honest citizens and good Christians’.  The organisation aims to help and assist past pupils and friends to be ‘the salt of the earth and the light of the world’.

The National Federation of Past Pupils and Friends of Don Bosco in Malta was officially established on the 8th December 1966 through the promulgation of its first statute drawn up by Dr. Joseph Pace LL.D.
