As part of our ongoing BLUEFRONT initiative, we had the opportunity to visit the Għajn National Water Conservation Awareness Centre, where participants took part in a dedicated session focused on water conservation and sustainable practices.

During the visit, the team at the centre delivered an engaging and informative presentation explaining how their work contributes to raising awareness about water management in Malta. Participants learned about the challenges related to water scarcity, as well as practical strategies that can be adopted in everyday life to use water more responsibly.

A key highlight of the visit was the sharing of simple and effective water-saving tips, which participants can now pass on and incorporate into future Blue School sessions. This knowledge exchange plays an important role in empowering young people to become ambassadors for sustainability within their own communities.

The visit also included a tour of the centre’s green roof, where participants explored how innovative solutions can support environmental sustainability. This hands-on experience helped bring the concepts discussed during the presentation to life, showing how small changes and smart design can make a meaningful impact.

We would like to thank the team at the Għajn National Water Conservation Awareness Centre for hosting us and for their valuable insights. Experiences like this continue to strengthen our mission to educate and inspire young people to take action towards protecting our water resources.

More BLUEFRONT workshops and activities will continue in the coming months, offering further opportunities for young people to learn, collaborate, and take action.

If you would like to be part of this journey, we invite you to join our upcoming workshops.
