Our Residences

Disadvantaged young people have various challenges to overcome poverty and social exclusion. Amongst the most vulnerable, there are young people who are homeless and lack the safety of a family. To respond to this reality, Friends of Don Bosco Malta operates two residencies, Alberto Marvelli Residence and Carlo Gastini Residence, that can currently accommodate seven young people. The aim of these projects is to offer accommodation to these young people by providing independent living, mentoring and the necessary support services.

Young people residing in both our residency are offered a two-year programme that will help them prepare to move into the community and live independently. With help of the MentorPower programme, the residents are mentored throughout the programme. Mentoring young people is a powerful way of helping young people to bring them out of poverty and help them to become more socially included.
