Our annual donation campaign for the children of Burundi has once again come to a close, and we would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who contributed in any way. Your generosity, time, and support have made a real difference in the lives of children who need it most.
This year’s campaign was not only about fundraising, but also about coming together as a community to raise awareness and show solidarity. One of the highlights was the “Play It Forward” campaign for Burundi, through which donations were raised while encouraging participation, creativity, and generosity. It was inspiring to see so many people involved, all united by a shared goal of giving hope and opportunity to children.
We would also like to sincerely thank Elmo Insurance for including our mission in their very first Elmo Christmas Fair. Through this wonderful initiative, funds were raised in support of Friends of Don Bosco, helping to bring hope and support to children in Burundi during the Christmas season. We are truly grateful for their generosity and for choosing to make this festive celebration one with a meaningful impact.
As part of our awareness activities, we also organised a movie night where volunteers and supporters gathered to watch the classic film It’s a Wonderful Life (1946). The story beautifully reflects the power of kindness, selflessness, and the impact one person can have on others. The evening served as a meaningful reminder that even small acts of generosity can change lives.
Thanks to your support, this campaign has helped us continue our mission to support children in Burundi through education, care, and hope for a better future. We are deeply grateful to every donor, volunteer, and supporter who helped make this campaign a success.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, this year’s campaign successfully raised €12,000, which will go directly towards supporting children in Burundi through education, care, and essential needs. Encouraged by this overwhelming response, we are already looking ahead with hope and determination, and we look forward to launching the campaign once again next year to continue making a lasting difference.
