The Maltese National Federation of the Past Pupils and Friends of Don Bosco have conducted a project, through the funding assistance of the Achievers Scheme Programme under the Ministry of Equality, Research, and Innovation. A booklet of ice breakers, case studies and testimonial were created with the name ‘Youth Meet Up’.

The purpose of the ‘Youth Meet Up’’ booklet is to share this booklet with youth workers and educators working in the youth field, to use as a tool. This booklet provides different activities that can be implemented during different sessions, with the focus of raising awareness on harm reduction, especially Cannabis use.

The research done for this booklet was created with the assistance of other youth workers working in the field; finding means of how to reach youths in a creative and fun manner in raising awareness on harm reduction. The misuse of cannabis is a persistent matter within the community, especially amongst youths.

Through the ice breakers, case studies and testimonials, we hope that it can be of assistance in raising further awareness on harm reduction and the misuse of cannabis. With the assistance of Sedqa we have gathered two testimonials, which were written by two residents living in one of Sedqa’s rehabilitation services.
