The NextGen Leadership Erasmus+ project has successfully concluded, marking the end of an inspiring and impactful week dedicated to youth development and collaboration. Throughout the programme, youth workers and young people came together to explore key themes such as leadership, democratic engagement, and innovative approaches to youth work.
Participants demonstrated a high level of commitment and initiative, not only engaging actively in all sessions but also taking the lead in facilitating workshops focused on leadership. By sharing their professional experiences and perspectives in youth work, they contributed to a dynamic environment of peer learning, critical reflection, and mutual inspiration. This exchange of knowledge and best practices significantly enriched the overall learning experience.
Over the course of the week, participants worked collaboratively, supporting one another and fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging atmosphere. A strong sense of community quickly emerged, with connections formed during the project developing into meaningful and lasting friendships beyond its duration.
One of the most memorable highlights of the project was the intercultural evening. During this event, participants presented their countries through traditional food, dances, music and other engaging activities. This vibrant celebration of diversity promoted intercultural dialogue and strengthened mutual understanding, respect, and appreciation among all participants.
Special appreciation is extended to the trainers, Louis Debono and Francesco Raja, whose expertise, dedication, and supportive approach played a key role in the success of the project.
The NextGen Leadership project was implemented through the collaboration of several partner organisations: SPYS – Salesian Pastoral Youth Service (Malta), Asociatia DEAR FUTURE SELF (Romania), 21 Nap – Fiatalok a Tudatosabb Életért Egyesület (Hungary), Young European People’s Association – Jóvenes de Cambrils para el mundo (Spain), and STUPOR MUNDI APS (Italy).
Friends of Don Bosco Malta were pleased to support the project, contributing to its smooth implementation and helping foster a positive and engaging environment for all participants.
We extend our sincere gratitude to all participants and partners for their valuable contributions in making NextGen Leadership a meaningful and memorable experience. We also express our appreciation to the Erasmus+ Programme for its support in making this project possible and for continuing to empower young people and youth workers across Europe.
